Larry D. Strader
Larry Strader was born and raised in Sutherlin, Virginia. He is employed by Piedmont Home Improvements Inc. as President of Operations. Larry currently holds the position of Chief at Laurel Grove. Prior to being elected Chief, he held the positions of Assistant Chief, Fire Captain, and Fire Lieutenant. Larry has obtained Lifetime membership status with Laurel Grove Vol. Fire-Rescue for his more than 10 years service to the department and community. In 1992, Larry graduated from Dan River High School in Ringgold, Virginia. Currently, Larry is certified as a Firefighter Level 2 through the Virginia Department of Fire Programs and an EMT-Basic through the Virginia Office of EMS. He is also certified in Vehicle Extrication and as an Emergency Vehicle Operator. Larry has lived in Laurel Grove most of his life and now lives in Keeling, Virginia. In his spare time, Larry enjoys playing softball, listening to music, working around his grandfather’s farm, and spending time with his wife Sharon and son Tyler. |
